Placement and Levels

Students who are new to dance are asked to level down or chose the lower level of their age group. If you have any questions about placement please reach out via email to shannonsimondance@gmail.com

  • Early Childhood Classes(0-5yr)

    Early Childhood Classes are offered for ages 18months-5yrs. These are play-inspired Creative Dance classes that run on 4 shorter sessions or quarters throughout the school year.

  • Intro Classes(5-7y)

    Intro Classes are the bridge from Creative Dance classes to formal technique classes. Students will get to chose from genres of interest and be introduced to formal technique. These classes are offered in 2 longer sessions or semesters throughout the school year.

  • Level 1 (7-9y)

    Level 1 marks the beginning of formal genre specific dance technique. These classes are offered in 2 longer sessions or semesters throughout the school year.

    Level 2 is reserved for students who are progressing in technique with prior training. These classes are offered in 2 longer sessions or semesters throughout the school year.
